Dear HUCKsters,
The weather is cooling, the turf is ready, and the beer is fully brewed. That's right: HUCKtoberfest is kicking off THIS Monday night at 8pm in Newington. Here's what you should do to be prepared for another season of "one night, one location, one bar" ultimate!
- Check your team and schedule at www.huckultimate.com
- Bring a white & dark jersey. HOME team is white, AWAY team is dark.
- Be punctual. Games start on time at 8:15 pm sharp!
- In order to maximize both playing time and bar time (and to keep players moving on those chilly Autumn nights) we'll be playing 6 vs. 6 sub-on-the-fly (see below for details).
- Don't forget there's free food and drink specials exclusively for HUCK participants at The Bar after games where Monday Night Football will be playing on at least 10 TVs.

WHAT IS SUB-ON-THE-FLY?
Sub-on-the-fly is played mostly like regular Ultimate, but on a smaller field and with fewer players.
- Field:
- 35 yards wide, 66 yards long and 10 yard end-zones.
- Rules & Play:
Played just like regular Ultimate with a couple tweak to the rules:
- Only 1 pull per game – at the beginning of the game.
- After a point is scored, the player with the disc sets the disc on the ground where they caught the score, and the opposing team immediately picks up the disc to initiate play.
- Players sub in "on-the-fly" at the mid field line. A player going out must step off the field before their substitute can go on the field.
- Games are capped after 1 hour of play (9:15 pm)
